Icons of Time: Teotihuacán’s New Signage documents the renewal of the wayfinding and signage system at one of Mexico’s most important archaeological sites, developed using porcelain-enameled steel and designed by Lance Wyman.

Through Wyman’s testimony, the video explores how graphic design and architectural signage can respectfully coexist with an ancient and powerful cultural landscape. The project addresses a fundamental challenge: how to guide and inform visitors in a World Heritage site without disrupting the experience, while ensuring long-term durability under extreme sun exposure and outdoor conditions.

Manufactured in porcelain enamel steel, the signage offers exceptional resistance to UV radiation, ease of maintenance, and long-term color stability, making it an ideal solution for archaeological sites, museums, public spaces, and cultural institutions.
