Описание к видео Hard life of Kenyan traders at Muthurwa Market .🇰🇪

In this video we get to Explore the 3 main markets within the Central business district of Nairobi. These are Gikomba, Muthurwa and Markiti. They are located in the downtown side of Nairobi. They are famous for affordable second hand clothes which are imported from either China,UK ,USA and other parts of the world while the Markiti Market is a famous produce market which gets its supplies from across the country.
I started in 1967 by the then government of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta as a way of taming the hawkers in the streets of CBD but since then the allocated spaces has been full also landgrabing and fires in the markets has exercerbated the already dire situation .
I choose to visit here during the rainy season which has swept almost all parts of the country inform of the floods to assess how they are coping with the situation given the poor drainage and informal settlements they are in.
I met some amazing traders and Joshua My tour guide who i didn't know going in there. That shows you the resilience of Kenyans even during this trying moments.
Its a dogy and not safe in some places so i advise you get a local to take you around as i did. Here i Joshua No. 0722 582 922 I hope you like this video as i did filming it.
