Teaching approaches are essential for success in target language (TL) acquisition.
Teaching philosophies may include:

According to Richards & Rogers (2014) and Scientific Research Publishing (2011) Principled Eclecticism (PE) uses a blend of methods to prioritize students by adjusting the curriculum and lesson plan to meet their needs. Students learn through a variety of multimedia that equip their comprehension and expression signing skills.

According to Brown et al. (2020) Communicative Language teaching (CLT) focuses on authentic interactions inside and outside of the classroom. CLT methods apply to various signing registers to support our students and peers through practice and interaction by learning authenticity target language (TL). Students have the capacity to incorporate, apply and engage in the deaf community.

Situational Language Teaching (SLT) focuses on student-centered activities while the teacher becomes the facilitator. The goal of Situational Language Teaching is to present, practice, and produce signs using a variety of functions and situations that encourage language processing and development in the target language (Thaine, 2022).

The overall goal of second language teaching is to encourage success that will leave students with everlasting inspiration.
