GMYN Residential 2022: Lake Windermere

Back in 2022 GMYN hosted a 3 day residential at Tower Wood Outdoor Education Centre by Lake Windermere in the Lake District. Young people spent time engaging in outdoor activities from ghyll scrambling to canoeing, climbing to campfire building and more!

A huge thank you goes out to Michael Josephson who generously donated £10K which made the residential possible:

"Last year I had the privilege of donating £10K from the #MJBall21 to the brilliant team at Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) . The money was used to take 40 young people from Manchester, Oldham, Salford and Bury on a trip to the Lake District. For some it might have been their first experience of being away from home and being on an activity residential - and you can see from this video how great it was! more funds have just been donated to the charity for something similar to happen again which makes me very happy :-)"

Without this contribution the trip couldn't have gone ahead and the young people would have missed out on the opportunity of a lifetime.
