Origins:
1-Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine (AIIS)
2-Groove Superior to the Brim of Acetabulum

Insertions:
1-Base of Patella via the Quadriceps Tendon
2-Tibial Tuberosity via the Patella and the Patellar Ligament

Functions:
1-Extension of the Leg @ the Knee Joint
2-Flexion of the Thigh @ the Hip Joint

Nerve:
The Femoral Nerve (L2, L3, L4)

Activation: (Supine) Extension of Leg – Have the Patient Lift Leg off the Table
Lengthening: (Side-Lying) Extension of the Thigh and Flexion of the Leg
