Kill The Bill disorder: Police cars, riot vans and bikes responding with siren and lights in London

Multiple police cars, riot vans, motorcycles and specialist units responding to disorder during 'Kill the Bill' demonstrations in London.

No violence is shown in this video.

On April 3 2021 (Saturday), a 'Kill The Bill' demonstration took place in central London protesting against the 'Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill'; proposed legislation to give police more powers (specifically to police protests). The demonstration turned violent when groups refused to disperse after being asked by police; as roads were being blocked and Coronavirus regulations were not being adhered to. The police operation was as a result changed to the 'enforcement stage' in which officers began to arrest those who failed to disperse.

A total of 107 people were arrested for a variety of offences such as 'breach of the peace; violent disorder; assault on police and breaches of Covid legislation.' - Metropolitan Police.

All Metropolitan & City of London Police 'Public Order Vans (POVs)' featured are Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 'protected carriers'. Typically three Public Order Vans make up a 'Police Support Unit (PSU)' of 1 Inspector, 3 Sergeants and 18 Constables. The blue vans are with the Territorial Support Group (marked 'U' for 'Uniform') who provide specialist level 1 public order policing.
