Aurora Cannabis stock has traded under the $1 NYSE requirement for 8 consecutive trading days and things are looking a bit worse for the company.

Ontario, home to Canada's capital of Toronto, passed a new ban on Marijuana retailers until April 28th because the government deemed cannabis as a "nonessential" product. This will really hurt Cannabis sellers for the 2 week period that these shops are closed. While it's good for social distancing matters, I think labeling Cannabis as "non-essential" is a pretty poor strategy. However, I hope this helps to reduce COVID-19 cases in Canada.

As for Aurora Cannabis, they are burning through a lot of cash with sales looking worse due to the 2 week ban. The company has a major loan note coming up in 2021 and had to desperately sell shares to maintain their cash position. The CEO also dumped his shares and Aurora has been facing layoffs and reductions in staff.

Not good. So will Aurora Cannabis recover or go bankrupt? Well, they have $150+ million cash position that should last them until the lockdown ends. They need to sell more Cannabis 2.0 products and push for U.S. federal legalization to enter the United States Market.

If you're looking for a better positioned Cannabis stock then Canopy Growth (CGC) is your best bet. TIlray and Aphria also have decent balance sheets.

I'm still sticking with the company even though times are pretty tough.
