Start to finish build of a replacement firebox for smoker. Made from 1/8" scrap steel sheet, and MIG welded together. Although a different shape from the original, it has the same interior volume, and after modification to the new air dampener, it also has the same air intake potential. Vinegar was used to remove the rust and mill scale of the sheets overnight. Disclaimer: I don't claim to be an expert firebox maker, I was just following the customer's specifications.
