Second video of many to come in the series of "Mendocino Jam Sessions" that will be released through YOUTUBE.COM, by the newly formed band "SPACE BROTHERS". SPACE BROTHERS was formed around March of 2011 by Drew Higgins, with Chris Heiner also noted as an honorary member. Drew Higgins formed SPACE BROTHERS while on hiatus from The Academy of Art University's graduate program in Motion Pictures and Television and Animation. His hopes originally were to work on his epic science fiction script for his Senior Thesis and also to maybe create an Art, Music and Film documentary while helping two brothers, Jesse and Johnny Dunn, work on their album, a band of a different name. The final result was not a script... but a lot of really outlandish jam sessions, time-lapse photography and animations of nature and jam sessions, and a few composed songs after the 4 months that Drew lived with these three other musicians in Northern California's, Mendocino County. Drew Higgins and Jesse Dunn have been collaborating as film makers for 13 years and have both decided in the past couple years to start seriously pursuing music and music production. Although they are separate entities, a lot of their work and footage will overlap and hopefully, "with support from viewers like you" they might collaborate once more on an Art, Film, and Music Documentary, comprised of thirteen years of footage and creative works... So that the world can finally see the final product of their combined efforts... and so that Drew can get the hell out of Graduate School and become the music video director and musician he was born to be. "The Odyssey of SlaveBot" is an improvised jam session that is by far one of the Space Brothers' favorites in their archive. OSB is comprised of three acts that the three artists have already storyboarded out the key concepts in their heads. Act 1 we join SlaveBot in his own dream, a world in genesis, comprised of biological cyborgs, throughout their own civilization, dancing and partying in the streets, as they hoist SlaveBot onto their shoulders in celebration of being "The Victorious General of The Great Human War."

Act 2 begins when the piano section becomes more rhythmic. SlaveBot awakes to find his human masters are angry and yelling at him to do the chores and housework, a family addicted to material possessions that has become dependent upon computers and technology. As SlaveBot is ordered to take the trash outside his attention is captured by a deer in the yard that seems to be implying to SlaveBot to follow him. SlaveBot begins singing to nature as he follows the deer to a cliff face at the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Acting half on intuition and desperation, Slavebot completes his song by jumping off the cliff face into the sea. At the end of the act we get the impression that SlaveBot has evolved into a biological submersible cyborg.

Act three is composed of guitar sections and melodies by Johnny Dunn. The story is tied together in the end where we see that SlaveBot has discovered a way for robots to evolve into living creatures. He is at peace in the ocean amongst the sea life. We are left only wondering if SlaveBot will be content in his new world, or if he will want to liberate the rest of his enslaved Robot brothers from the tyranny of the human race.

Although "The Odyssey of SlaveBot", like most improvised pieces, has some issues, mainly audio issues like the strange warping in the third act, we feel it a good rough outline for a produced studio version that would also be accompanied by a 2-D AND 3-D animated cartoon. Keep in mind we pulled this half hour jam out of our rears for your ears. Hope you enjoy!
