I've spoken to a few people that have wanted to find a way to make the cab lights directional on the A class and it was a conversation with one of my customers which prompted me to try this particular modification.

The cab lights are both connected to Aux 5 by the factory, making them with come on together, and the shunting lights for one end are Aux 6, and Aux 7 for the other, meaning only one end comes on at once. On closer inspection both wires in question are yellow, an easy mistake at the factory maybe? Or it could have been intentional as IRM have said with a mis printed function list.

Either way, if you are confident at soldering its easy to swap the 4 wires and no CV changes are needed, and I prefer the changes to the lights which the modification provides.

This isnt an approved modification, neither is the speaker change so it might affect your warranty, any changes you make are at your own risk.
