No more sweating it out in the kitchen — that’s the promise of Autochef, an India-based robotics startup founded by former pilot Ehsan Khalid. Born out of the COVID-19 lockdown, Autochef automates cooking using an app-controlled robotic kitchen that can whip up a variety of cuisines, from Indian and Mughlai to Continental and Thai. With most components designed in-house, the compact kitchen system is expected to hit the market in 3–6 months, priced at Rs 50 lakh — with a special 50% discount for the first 100 buyers.
