Ingredients
1 cup half cooked milet (Bajra) - cooked in pressure cooker with water for 3-4 whistles, will give you half cooked bajra)
1 cup pre-soaked yellow dal (Moong dal)
2 tbs Ghee
1 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
3-4 cloves of finely chopped garlic
2 finely chopped green chillies
1 finely chopped onion
salt per taste
Mix vegetables chopped- Cauliflower, Green Peas, Carrots
1 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
1.5 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
Water
Coriander leaves (Dhaniya)
Method:
Heat up the pressure cooker
Add 2 tbs Ghee
Add 1 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
Wait for Jeera to crackle
Add 1/2 tsp Hing (Asafoetida)
Add 3-4 cloves of finely chopped garlic
Add 2 finely chopped green chillies
Mix well
Now add 1 small finely chopped onion
Add salt
Add chopped vegetables: Cauliflower, Green Peas & Carrots
Add 1 tsp Haldi (Turmeric Powder)
Add 1.1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
Add 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
Mix well
Add 1 cup half-cooked millet (Bajra) ready
Add 1 cup pre-soaked yellow dal (Moong dal)
Add 1.1/2 cup water
Mix well
Add coriander leaves
Close the pressure - cooker and wait for 3 whistles
After 3 whistles open the cooker
Mix again
Plate and garnish with Coriander leaves
Enjoy with curd and pickle
