It's been a rough year for jobs in Ohio, but there's good news. Ohio's unemployment rate is slowly shrinking: down to 5.3 percent in January, versus its high of 16.4 percent last May.

Now, we're starting to hear of more available jobs. One Ohio-based company is looking to fill more than 100 positions in all different sectors this week, with a virtual job fair.
The mortgage business may not be the sexiest career, but Union Home Mortgage is not your typical finance company. Headquartered in Strongsville, it continues to be ranked as a nationwide top workplace because of its culture and commitment to its employees, which it calls "partners." The company's CEO, Ohio native Bill Cosgrove, was recently named entrepreneur of the year.

Cosgrove calls UHM's culture, "unlike anything else in the mortgage business."
