The programme offers students in-depth, up to date knowledge about key issues covering all aspects of elder abuse, including: detection; reporting; investigation; caring for victims; and prevention of elder abuse in acute, chronic and community care settings.

The programme also covers contextual issues related to elder abuse such as ageism, mental capacity, and the sociology of ageing.
