LaVerne Harding Animation

Описание к видео LaVerne Harding Animation

LaVerne Harding was one of the first female animators in the animation industry, alongside Lillian Friedman, Retta Scott and Ruth Kissane. She is possibly the only one to have animated for golden age short films for a long period of time until their decline in the early 1970s. She worked at the Walter Lantz Studio from around 1934 to 1959, providing publicity art, comic book art and model sheets. She eventually became one of the key artists at the studio and redesigned and animated the later openings of the Woody Woodpecker cartoon series.

LaVerne's animation is usually on-model and very structured. She had an essential way of animating characters in limited animation and also used certain mouth shapes during dialogue scenes and takes.
