A PID (proportional integral derivative) loop (or PI loop) is a type of control used to maintain a setpoint based on a type of feedback (pressure, temperature, etc.). The PID controller (internal to the drive) calculates an error as the difference between the measured value (feedback) and the desired value (setpoint). The difference between the two values is effectively minimized by adjusting the control inputs according to the output values. The output frequency is then calculated and determined by the drive. PID control is available in GA800, GA500, A1000, U1000, P1000, Z1000 or V1000 drives.

Note:

This does not apply to iQpump1000, U1000 iQpump, or iQpump Micro drives.
J1000 drives do not have PID functionality.
