Hard Habit to Break - Chicago (keyboard cover)

In late summer/early fall 1984, this song was hitting its stride in popularity. It was also my introduction to Bill Champlin's soulful voice - paired with the distinctive voice of Peter Cetera: an inconceivably powerful combination. Unfortunately, Bill Champlin was not nominated for his perfect, incomparable wails toward the end of the song, though the song was nominated for Best Vocal Arrangement for Two or More Voices among four total Grammy nominations (deservedly so for all, no doubt!). As producer, David Foster did a wonderful job arranging and pushing for this hit single, not to mention the entirety of the album Chicago 17, their most successful album.

I can't say enough good things about this song. It always takes me back and is probably my favorite ballad of all time.
