This movie is of the World Gliding Championships that took place at Waikerie, South Australia during the summer of 1974.

The film was shown once on the ABC (Australia) during 1975 and I managed to get authority to borrow the 16mm film from the Australian Gliding Federation to copy to VHS tape. After rediscovering the VHS tape at the bottom of my cupboard I made it known to all the gliding enthusiasts that I knew and copies made for those that wanted a copy. So it is likely, all the copies out there are from those DVDs I originally sent out. So as the original film has apparently been lost or destroyed this version is likely the best copy that is available today.
