J Dilla Inspired Techniques
In this vid, we examine another technique from the legendary Jay Dilla where i notice how his use of a tambourine can really make a beat swing. This is based off his track called Flowers. This particular Dilla technique also works with hihats, shakers, or any percussion.
This is demonstrated on my MPC 2000xl Once again this concept can be transferred to any hardware or software.

This is only one of many J Dilla techniques, but if you listen to the album called Sunset Blvd , u will come across so many dope techniques just from that one album alone. The spirit of Dilla will continue to live on and shout out to Ma Dukes for creating such a legacy thru her son Dilla Dawg aka The King of Beats.
