Uru - Ambivalent (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto OP2)

New month, new live take!

This arrangement of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto's S2 opening "Ambivalent" is arranged by yours truly, using Mukae Yoko's performance and KeyNomad's piano sheets as reference (go check them out, they're great!).

This song was honestly loads harder to play than to vocalize. The silences between the main melody phrases in the verses and pre-choruses feel excruciatingly long, and with how much the center of attention ping pongs between the violin and piano, any sort of mismatch in internal tempo absolutely destroys your counterpart. Throw in a butt load of syncopation, and welp, I think it's too obvious how much effort was spent amongst the three of us to stay in beat, which hindered our abilities to relax and focus on expression.

But it's alright--lessons learned! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Well take this relevation into our next monthly live take. Look forward to it! :)
