Recipe :
How to make Jam at Home
Mix Fruit Jam
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
2 apples
2 oranges
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 bananas
2 Chikoo (sapota)
1 pineapple
1/2 tablespoon lime juice
250ml fruit pulp
250g sugar
1/4 tsp citric acid
1 tsp mix fruit essence
1/8 tsp of raspberry red food colour
1g Sodium Benzoate
Method:
Peel and chop all the fruits.
In a pan, add papaya, chikoo, orange, bananas, apple & ¼ cup water.
Mix once. Cover it & cook on low flame till the fruits are soft.
Switch off flame & allow fruits to cool down for 10-15 min.
Now blend the fruits using a blender .Strain the fruit pulp.
Transfer pulp to measuring cup & whatever marking will come we will use same quantity of sugar.
Take the pulp & sugar in a pan. Mix well & start flame on low.
Add citric acid & mix fruit essence & raspberry red food colour.
Mix well & cook this mixture for 7-8 min on low flame till little thick.
To check consistency jam should fall in drops slowly from spatula. It should not fall together.
Switch off the flame. Dissolve the sodium benzoate in 1 tsp warm water and mix well into the prepared Jam.
Transfer mixed fruit jam in jar & allow it cool down for 2-3 hours.
Refrigerate till required.
