This comes as a major check on the ruling party’s autocratic methods, especially against opposition party workers. Many activists were being remanded without due legal process, violating their constitutional rights. The High Court’s latest order is being seen as a tear in the self-declared 'Red Book Constitution', often invoked to justify political vendetta.
