Lotus Sutra Chapter 25. Probably the most well-known chapter of the Lotus Sutra, Chapter 25 lists the many benefits that are available to those who call upon Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva who hears (or regards) the cries of the world.
Also known as Quan Yin and Kannon, this figure appears in both male and female form and represents wisdom and compassion. The Dharma talk brings out the idea that the understanding of the three marks of existence (impermanence, no-self, and the nature of suffering) leads to liberation and unboundedness, promised by the Bodhisattva, regardless of circumstances.
