Before 2014, psoriasis was largely ignored by policy-makers. The WHO website did not have any information about it. IFPA set out to change that by pushing for a resolution on psoriasis. In May 2014, the 67th World Health Assembly adopted Resolution WHA 67.9, the only international resolution focused on psoriasis. It recognizes psoriasis as a noncommunicable disease with significant impact and the need for better healthcare access.
