Welcome everyone to Marvel Nemesis Rise of The Imperfects Part 1. In this episode, the story begins with The Thing taking a walk on the New York City bridge when an alien invasion begins. The Thing jumps into action and battles of the aliens who informs him that "he is not what they want. They will come for him later." The Thing then continues on into New York City and battles more of the alien horde before completing all of his missions.

The Thing's move set.

Left Control Stick controls movement. Right Control Stick controls the camera.

The left trigger buttle L1 on the PS2 controller is a mobility move. The Thing can run faster with this held down and you can follow up with a basic uppercut attack to get enemies in the air. You can also hold down R1 right trigger and then press square button while running to briefly make a short jump and punch the ground for a shockwave attack.

The R1 righter trigger held down will enable you to do various special moves at the cost of some white special meter. The meter recharges slowly but can be charged back up faster while standing still and holding R1. You can also be moving while holding R1 and then stopping to skip over a character's charge animation to get charging faster. Also to do a Finisher, the opponent must be in danger and then hold R1 and press Circle which is the grab button. This move also is known as a supper grab which does damage as well to the opponent when not in danger.

Recovery move can be used after taking a big hit or being thrown that sends you flying. Press and hold both R1 and L1 to either roll recover and avoid taking damage, or if playing as a flying character recover in the air and avoid a ring out.

Square button is for regular attacks. Most characters have either 2 hit, 3 hit, or 4 hit combos. Try each character out to see what kind of moves they can do. Holding down R1 and press Square will enable you to use special attacks. Try mixing you regular attacks with Special and Special attacks with regular to see what kind of combos you can generate. You can also do air combos.

Triangle button is for blocking opponents' attacks. You regain special meter with every successful block and can even throw opponents off balance by blocking just as they are about to land a hit. This works well on the Claw aliens if you learn to block there 2 hit attack in rhythm. You can also dodge left, right, forward, and backwards while standing still holding triangle and the moving the control stick. You can also do a special dodge attack move where you hold Trangle, R1, move a direction and then press Square. You can also attack like this without holding R1. You can Dodge special attacks this way or use Super Block, R1 and Trangle to send projectile attacks back at your enemies.

The Circle button is used for grabbing and throwing, The move can be used for air grab or special air gab attacks as well. If you hold down R1 you will do Special grab attack, this also will activate the Finisher if the opponent is in danger. If an enemy or boss grabs you press Circle to break their grab or special grab. This will restore some special meter, and you will stay on your feet. You can also pick up items in the game and throw them. The Thing can pick up, catch, and throw any item in the game like cars and other heavy items. Wolverine can't but can pick up barrels or boxes, or parking meters, or wall pipes. Catching thrown items will restore special meter.

The X button is for jumping. Hold R1 and press X for a higher special jump. If an opponent is in the air jump and use either attack moves, special attack moves, grab moves, special grab moves. Air grabs are most effective at defeating flying enemies.

Game Difficulty Set Up Tips.

Remember to set the desired difficulty mode using my method. Select Easy, Medium, or Hard mode in settings, then play a 3 live vs match, and then play Story mode to activate the change. The enemies and bosses should do more damage now, Enjoy the game!

Tips for beginners.

If story mode is proving to be more challenging than expected practice in Vs mode on easy to get better with doing combos and other moves. Give yourself more lives than the opponent to give yourself extra time to learn what your fighter can do. Also pay attention to any tips that pop up in each mission and then practice those moves some more in vs mode. You can also lower the difficulty if this is making the game more challenging than you would like.
