Igbo is a principal native language of the Igbo people, an ethnic group of southeastern Nigeria. It is one of the largest languages of West Africa, spoken by 18 million people. Igbo belongs to the Niger-Congo language family and is spoken among natives of Caribbean countries like Jamaica, Haiti, Belize, Barbados etc. In this video, Millie Anozia will introduce the history, cuisine, and culture of the Igbo people. She will also teach the Igbo alphabet of 36 letters and explain the cultural context behind common words/phrases.
