I was asked by Mike 737 (A Pigeonwatch Forum member) how I did the door closing and trigger mechanism on my home made Larsen Trap. It was much easier to show it on a short video than to try to describe it so here is the video showing how I did it.
I originally used some springs that were designed for Larsen Traps but I found that they quickly weakened and didn't close the door properly so I used elastic bands whic are cheap to replace and do the job very well.
I hope that this helps anyone thinking of making their own Larsen Trap.
