The setup is gloriously simple: a meteor crashes near a small town, revealing a circus-tent spaceship filled with alien clowns who harvest humans using cotton-candy cocoons, shadow puppets, and balloon-animal weapons. The movie never tries to justify its logic. Instead, it doubles down on invention, treating every gag and kill as an opportunity to push the concept further. The film’s synth-heavy score by John Massari adds to its off-kilter charm, while the theme song by The Dickies seals its cult credentials.
