HEAVEN or HELL? Street photography in Edinburgh Fringe (Plus top tips!)

Описание к видео HEAVEN or HELL? Street photography in Edinburgh Fringe (Plus top tips!)

In today's video I shoot street photography in Edinburgh during the incredibly busy Fringe Festival. I show a POV view of how I take my shots, looking for interesting moments, great lighting and using tricks like slower shutter speeds to show motion in a crowd.

I also give my top tips and tricks that I've used to try and get better street shots. It's been a learning process for me, but street photography remains a really exciting genre for me that I'd love to spend more time with and eventually improve.

AN APOLOGY: the colours in parts of this video have come out very weird. I know what went wrong but there's no sense in removing the video now. ALSO there are annoying whatsapp notification sounds in the last section. Again, my bad. This video was tough to get out this weekend. I hope you still enjoy it!

Big events like the Fringe in Edinburgh are great opportunities for street photos, but it doesn't need to be a particular event, as even a small town high street can have interesting characters and other photogenic things to snap.

I shot almost all my photos here on the Canon R5 with the 50mm f/1.8mm lens -- it's Canon's cheapest lens, but it's also one of its smallest and lightest which makes it great for quick street shooting.
