SYNOPSIS
'Away Games' is an animated short film based on a poem about escapism, hope and individual resilience (or rather the lack thereof.) Inspired by and made for the people who fail in their ability to withstand, adapt to, and recover from stress and adversity.

The poem of the same name was written by the late David C. Berman who was an American musician, poet and the singer of Silver Jews.

This stop-motion film is almost exclusively made with charcoal. Carefully crafting each frame by mixing the charcoal with other media and compositing multiple images together.
