Bubbles Frozen in Ice | Discover Abraham Lake, AB

Описание к видео Bubbles Frozen in Ice | Discover Abraham Lake, AB

As an Albertan, living in Central Alberta you’d think I’ve seen the ice bubbles of Abraham lake many times, but it’s a trip that requires a full day dedicated to searching for them. There are all gorgeous photos all over Instagram, but you need to know where to find them, so your trip is successful.

This unique natural phenomenon is created when the methane gases, released by the plants at the bottom of the lake, are frozen.

Walking on the thick ice with millions of bubbles trapped inside was a truly unique experience, and one you don’t want to miss.

Abraham Lake is about three and a half hours of driving away both from Edmonton and Calgary. The frozen bubbles are a must see when you are in Alberta.
