🎮 About the Game

Unfear is an action-packed 2d runner. You play as a runner confronting manifestations of trauma, using ancient Chinese elemental wheel as psychological defense mechanisms.

But here's the twist: there are no victories without consequences. Every trauma you overcome generates a new debuff based on the Wu Xing (五行) creation cycle. The masks we wear to protect ourselves create new fragilities.

⚔️ The Wu Xing System

Master the Five Elements destruction cycle to defeat enemies:

🔥 Fire (Anxiety) → defeats Metal
💧 Water (Terror) → defeats Fire
⚙️ Metal (Grief) → defeats Wood
🌍 Earth (Obsession) → defeats Water
🌳 Wood (Rage) → defeats Earth

Switch masks in real-time using WASD to match incoming threats. Wrong mask? You take damage and gain debuffs that stack against you.

💔 Debuff System

Defeating trauma comes at a cost. Each victory triggers the creation cycle, inflicting lasting debuffs:

Anxiety → Faster scroll speed
Terror → Screen shake
Grief → Rain/vision impairment
Obsession → Disabled double jump
Rage → Increased gravity
