Halesowen Brass Band perform "The Golden Lady" at Coombeswood Canal Trust

Halesowen Brass Band is based in Halesowen, with the emphasis on entertainment and enjoyment.
Halesowen Brass Band was formed in 1987 to bring brass banding back to Halesowen.
Today, there are players of all abilities – some experienced, and some new to brass banding, but all enjoying making music together. New members are always welcome.
The band is a registered charity and is entirely self supporting. We play at many different venues across the West Midlands.
Rehearsals take place every Tuesday from 8.00 to 9.30 at Cradley Heath Sports and Social Club, Colley Lane, B63 2TN.

Coombeswood Canal Trust

After a break of several years, Coombeswood Canal Trust had an Open Weekend / Boating Festival – on Saturday 2 September and Sunday 3 September 2023 at Hawne Basin. Focusing on boating activities this year, hoping to introduce our visitors to lace making and canal art as well as having boat handling and best-dressed boat competitions. There will also be boat trips and lots of activities for children of all ages. There will also be representatives from many local organisations detailing their activities - including the Greyhound Rescue and Owl Rescue, and the ever popular model boat exhibition.
The bar will be open, there will be good food available, including hot pork baps, and live entertainment – we look forward to welcoming you.
