TIME IN RASLAN: From the developer's own words, time works normally in Raslan. The transitions/daylight changes are purely aesthetic and don't relate to the lore at all.

THE GOLDEN ONE: During the early days and rise of the Adalian Empire, the Adal people worshiped an entire pantheon of gods headed by this particular deity. He/it has no relevance to the world as of the time of the game.

MASK IMMORTALITY: This is still pretty much unsolved and unanswered directly.

LAW OF ANLEK: As revealed in the Downfall DLC, the Law of Anlek is 'Anlek is the One True God and Essence is a manifestation of His power in the world. It is the gravest of sins for mortal hands to meddle with this power'. Basically, it's blasphemy for anyone (other than a Guide, check out the related video for more!) to use Essence in any way.

In a game that leaves us with WAY more questions than answers by the end, these are definitely the most irritatingly vague, unknowable parts of the story.

Hopefully - with time - we'll finally get to know the whole story!
