How to Mix Indigo and Henna to get Dark Brown or Black Hair.

This was a short, but the music cut off at 15 seconds and the rest was silence. The recipe is below.

I recently cut my hair ultra short and am now doing a complete ayurvedic hair protocol. This is the recipe I use to cover my grey hair.

#1 - 1/4 cup Henna mixed with warm water and let process for 2 hours.
TIP: Cover bowl and place in warm spot i.e. top of fridge.
#2 - Mix 1/4 cup Indigo with warm water. Let process for 30 minutes. Optionally, you can add 1 tsp of Aloe for moisture and/or 1/4 tsp salt to help adherence.
#3 - In the mean time of processing your Indigo, wash hair thoroughly and line edges of hairline with a non-petroleum hair color stain protectant (i.e. shea butter).
#4 - After 30 minutes, mix indigo into Henna and apply to wet hair. Cover hair with plastic wrap or plastic cap. You can use a heat cap to cut the time in half.
#5 - Let process for 2 hours (with heat cap) or up to 4 hours without heat.
#6 - The last 30 minutes of your process time, mix 1/2 Cup of Indigo and let process for 30 minutes.
#7 - During processing time, rinse out the Henna and Indigo mix. You can use a color safe conditioning cleanser.
#8 - Line hairline again with non-petroleum hair color stain protectant.
#9 - Apply Indigo and let process for 1 - 2 hours depending on how dark you want your hair to be.
#10- Rinse hair and add a little moisturizer, but do not add any oil or anything else for 3 days so that the color locks into the cuticle.
