In this video, I head up to Everton Park hilltop, one of the highest natural viewpoints in Liverpool, to capture stunning panoramic views across the city using my zoom camcorder.

From this elevated position, Liverpool opens up in every direction. I zoom in across the skyline, focusing on some of the city’s most iconic and historic landmarks. The famous Royal Liver Building stands proudly along the waterfront, instantly recognisable as a symbol of Liverpool’s maritime heritage. Nearby, the Cunard Building and Port of Liverpool Building complete the legendary Three Graces that dominate the Pier Head skyline.

As I continue scanning across the city centre, both of Liverpool’s cathedrals come into view. The vast Anglican Cathedral, one of the largest in Europe, towers over the southern skyline, while the modern and striking Metropolitan Cathedral stands out with its unique circular design.

Using the camcorder’s powerful zoom, I explore rooftops, office blocks, cranes, residential towers and historic buildings that together show how Liverpool blends old and new. From docks and commercial districts to cultural landmarks and neighbourhoods stretching far into the distance, this viewpoint gives a true sense of the city’s scale.

Everton Park is not only a green space but also one of the best locations to understand Liverpool’s layout from above. On a clear day, visibility stretches far beyond the city centre, offering views toward the river, the docks, and the wider Merseyside area.
