Fruity Rogue is a roguelike for the twinstick fans. In this Fruity Rogue first impressions gameplay video, we check out this new roguelike released in 2025 by Adam Harmane, and is (I believe) the result of a GameJam.

Fruity Rogue takes inspiration from classic twinstick roguelikes we know and love, such as Binding of Isaac, Nuclear Throne, and Enter the Gungeon. In Fruity Rogue, you first select your character, each with different abilities to turn the tides in your favour, and a weapon that stays equipped throughout your run. Across a run, you'll gather coins from defeating enemies to spend on a variety of items with a range of rarities, allowing you to bulk up your strength before eventually taking on a final boss. The game includes really wild items, like the bouncing DVD logo, or "fish" (who's description reads "fish"), that flies around and freezes enemies.
