Free HP Compaq 6200 Pro Revival & Review

This HP Compaq 6200 small form factor system was found, in all places, at the curb outside of a business awaiting trash pickup. Expecting the worst, it still managed to follow me home. Surprisingly, all that was needed was a clean install of an operating system, something that was quickly accomplished using its built-in recovery partition to restore Windows 7.

In keeping with the "free" theme, its copy of Windows 7 was upgraded to Windows 10 Professional using the Media Creation tool, and its 8 gigabytes of ram, quad core i5 processor, and 250 GB hard drive will remain as-is for the time being.
