Christmas is almost here and once again, we sit down to reflect on God's grace and mercy and we only have reasons to adore and praise His name. And in keeping with the season of love, we praise God and thank Him for the biggest gift of love - our saviour Jesus Christ.
O come and let us adore Him together - in song and in prayer, this Christmas and always.
From ours, to yours. Merry Christmas.
‘O Come All Ye Faithful/O Come Let Us Adore HIm’ is the carol to end all Christmas concerts. Its rousing melody – attributed to a number of composers over the years, including Handel and Gluck – is generally credited to John Francis Wade. Printed in 1751, the text was originally written in Latin as ‘Adeste Fideles’, a title you’ll still sometimes see printed on Christmas albums. But the English translation, written by the English Catholic priest Frederick Oakeley in 1841, is the most commonly used version.
O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant!
O come ye, O come ye, to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord!
Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning
Jesus, to Thee be glory given
Word of the Father
Now in flesh appearing
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord!
Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!
Glory to God
All glory in the highest
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord!
