We are now in Kochi Kerala! BUT it's been raining for 3 days... SO we decided to go to the famous Lulu Mall, Kochi, Kerala to explore and to buy some traditional clothing for Lawrence & Nyh. The mundu is extremely comfortable and Lawrence will definitely wearing this back in the UK. We'll be exploring the rest of Kochi & Kerala over the next two weeks! FOREIGNERS IN VARKALA 🇮🇳 | TRYING LOCAL DISHES | KERALA | INDIA
After a long drive down to Varkala, Kerala from Alleppey... we were VERY hungry. We stopped in at God's own country kitchen to try some local south Indian dishes. We plan to try as many different foods as possible while down in south India especially in Kerala. Masala Crab, Kurma, Kerala paratha, masala dosa.... all were incredible!

MORE TRADITIONAL FOOD AT VARKALA BEACH & FINDING THE BEST TODDY | KERALA | 🇮🇳
We had a great tour on our first day around Varkala with our good friend Arun. Our first stop at Varkala Beach brought up some questions that we have for the locals. We heard after our visit to Varkala beach that this is a radioactive beach!? We're very confused please can you let us know if you are from Kerala if this is true. We hope not as Nyh was playing in the sand! Boat on the backwaters and some traditional south Indian food was absolutely incredible. And it was all washed down with a couple (4) bottles of toddy 🇮🇳 A big thank you to Arun and his family 🖤
Getting to Alleppey From Kochi:
Alleppey can easily be reached in just over two hours by prepaid taxi from Kochi or from Kochi airport. Expect to pay about 3,500 rupees. Uber and Ola app-based taxis are also available.
