Come with me while I drive the 110 freeway. This freeway is one of the oldest freeways in the US, that's why it seems kind of dangerous in certain parts of the freeway. There is no on-ramp and off-ramp in many parts of the freeway in Pasadena and Highland Park and the lanes are more narrow than modern freeways. As it does seem kind of dangerous, I really enjoy the curvy turns all the way up until it reaches DTLA, it feels like a video game racetrack. After it leaves Highland Park, into DTLA, it does become a more modern freeway like the other ones as you will see.

The 110 Freeway, officially designated as Interstate 110 (I-110) and State Route 110 (SR 110), is one of the oldest and most historically significant freeways in California. Its northern section, originally known as the Arroyo Seco Parkway, opened in 1940 and is considered the first freeway in the western United States, connecting Pasadena to Downtown Los Angeles. This segment, now SR 110, is notable for its narrow lanes and scenic design, reflecting early freeway planning. The southern portion, known as the Harbor Freeway (I-110), was developed between the 1950s and 1970s to link Downtown LA with the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, playing a vital role in freight and commuter traffic. Over time, it became one of the first freeways to include carpool lanes. The Arroyo Seco Parkway was later recognized as a National Scenic Byway and a Civil Engineering Landmark, symbolizing the beginning of LA’s extensive freeway system. While the entire 110 freeway isn't a designated historic landmark, a portion of it, known as the Arroyo Seco Parkway (or Pasadena Freeway), has been recognized as a historic landmark.
