Throughout recent years the Galloway Motorcycle Club have run a number of Classic scrambles events. The biggest of these being the internationally known, Drumlanrig Classic Grand National Scramble of Scotland, now renamed for 2022 – The Drumlanrig Offroad Motorsport Festival.

Three famous motocross legends were there. Roger De Coster, 5 times world champion, whose stature is such in the sport of motocross that he is simply referred to as "The Man".
Brad Lackey, the first and only American to win the 500cc motocross world championship, and Heikki Mikkola, 4 times world champion and the first person to win 250cc and 500cc world motocross championships.
