Among the water towns in Jiangnan, Nanxun Ancient Town is renowned as the "Capital of Culture" and "Village of Book Fragrance" for its profound cultural heritage and poetic scenery. Ranked as one of the six ancient towns in Jiangnan, Nanxun Ancient Town is centered around its cross river system, weaving rivers into a network that cannot be ignored in history, surrounded by harbors of businesses and residences. Strolling through it, one can feel the unique waterfront charm of the ancient town: tranquil bridges, murmuring water, and gentle homes, complemented by magnificent gardens and mansions, creating a moving Jiangnan ink painting. The scenic area of Nanxun Ancient Town is vast, with a total area of 2.18 square kilometers, carefully divided into three major characteristic areas. The first thing that catches the eye is the popular area that gathers numerous tourist attractions. Here lies the former residence of Zhang Shiming and the sloping staircase of Liu's family, allowing tourists to appreciate the historical charm of the ancient town. Following closely behind is the central scenic area, which boasts the exquisite and compact Xiaolianzhuang and the well stocked Jiayetang Library, making it a pilgrimage destination for cultural explorers. Finally, the Northeast Block, with its unique style and presence, such as Dongdajie, Zhang Jingjiang's former residence, and the famous historical site Baijianlou, attracts tourists from all directions, adding a touch of profound charm to Nanxun.
