In this video I explain what I did to convert my Ryobi Expand-It attachments to fit into my new Stihl Kombi 56. I've done this to the hedge trimmer, pole saw, and weedeater.

For this project you will need:

A hacksaw or similar cutting device - Mine is just an ace hardware version but If I buy another one I was eying this - https://amzn.to/3ROdvSM

A file or coarse sandpaper - My favorite brand and cut are these: https://amzn.to/3RNBZvE

A marker of some type

Note: I'm not a professional and you should proceed at your own risk if you decide to make these modifications. I did this because I liked my Ryobi attachments and certainly didn't want to spend all that money on the Stihl attachments until the Ryobi ones break, but I wanted a more reliable powerhead......Ironically after I got the Stihl Kombi, I kept tinkering with my Ryobi and figured out what was actually wrong with it so basically got a backup now. That said, once this modification is made you do have a harder time using the Ryobi or similar type powerheads with the attachments in the future because they loose the indent pin. And seriously this powerhead was just a tad over 200 bucks. The Ryobi isn't honestly that much better priced these days. I think its almost 200 for the Ryobi and weedeater. I couldn't find just the powerhead brand new.
