Parashat Balak 5783: Turning Curses into Blessings

The Torah portion of Balak introduces us to the shadowy character of Bilaam, a heathen prophet who tried to manipulate G-d's will to suit his own agenda. A deeper understanding of Bilaam urges us to consider: what is our own perception of G-d? Is He a G-d of mercy, or a G-d of Anger?
