NAVSEA Change of Command Ceremony | Jan 3, 2024

The ceremony is a formal and impressive event that signifies the transfer of authority from one commander to another.

Vice Admiral James P. Downey has served as the commander of Naval Sea Systems Command since January 3, 2024. From 2019–2023, he was the program executive officer for aircraft carriers.
