NATO at 75: Source of Stability or Relic of a Bygone Era?

Описание к видео NATO at 75: Source of Stability or Relic of a Bygone Era?

The topic of NATO’s continuing relevance (or growing irrelevance) has become a topic of debate in and beyond the United States. This webinar, to be held in anticipation of the upcoming NATO summit (9-11 July), seeks to address this topic by exploring how and whether NATO as an institution could reflect the underlying distribution of power in the international system. NATO, of course, was originally a product of the Cold War bi-polar international order. It then adapted, expanding and taking on new roles as that order gave way to unipolarity following the demise of the Soviet Union. The question to be addressed in this webinar is whether NATO can adapt once again – this time to the contemporary reality of multipolarity.
