Krishna Nee Begane - Experimental work

I have interpreted this song from Devaki's perspective. Devaki, who had held him in her body and then pushed him out of it, only to have him taken away from her. Devaki who never watches him grow. Never loses her temper with him. Never loves him with balls of food mashed in her hands. She calls for him desperately to look at him and take in everything she can.

In this piece, I have taken the artistic liberty of Devaki having a confidante who would visit her to tell her stories about Krishna. After hearing the stories, what unfolds next is her deep desire to see him at least once, the fear that she might not even have a glance at his face before her last breath. It ignites a deep, aching desire to hold him in her arms at least once.
