Mosquito - Atlantis Software - VIC-20 - Emulated, Pantheon - 6,000 points.

Mosquito is a maze arcade game from Atlantis Software. It was released for the unexpanded VIC-20 in 1984.

In this game you have to escape a maze inhabited by killer mosquitos. You need to find a key and then get to the exit. You have a sprayer that can fend them off, but this only has a limited amount of spray per screen. There are also a few teleporters around that allow you to jump elsewhere on the screen which can be useful. Some screens are made in darkness and the one I got stuck on was made of keys - I guess you have to try everywhere to find the one that is actually the key.

A very frantic maze game this one and it can be quite difficult to get to your objective at times. Control is a bit fiddly too, it can be tricky to make a junction. Quite fun for an unexpanded VIC game though!

This run was made on the 27th May 2024, using the Pantheon emulator on PC. There are no skill levels and the score reached was 6,000 points.
