Old tools: an ambient snippet with a tone generator, tape loops, Kaossilator and EHX 22500 looper

One of my favourite tricks while making music is repurposing something that was not meant for musical endeavours into an instrument or drone generator.
In this video, a guitar tuning iOS app with a tone generator built in that featured a beautiful decay in between notes as well as a harmony driven interface is used to provide "melody" over drones made with the Korg Kaossilator v1 and tape loops played on a cheap walkman. The tones generated with the app are layered in the superpowerful EHX 22500 dual stereo looper, to build up the track and make for the lack of an instrument interface in the tone generator (like a keyboard or a sequencer). I am also using the input gain knob in the 22500 to create artificial swells in the tones generated by the app, for extra peace.
